A win to break 14 year standing record

AC Milan want to continue the good performances and three points against Spal are an obligation. A victory that would have a double meaning.

Aside from the bad defeat in Rome against Lazio, the Serie A start of AC Milan so far has been absolutely positive. As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning, if 9 points in the first four rounds were missing from 2006, 12 in the first five games are not seen in this parts for 14 years, since 2003 when the red and blacks got 13 points in five matches.

AC Milan debuted with a 0-3 victory against Crotone followed by a narrow 2-1 win against Cagliari in San Siro. The rossoneri suffered the first seasonal defeat against Lazio 4-1 but bounced back immediately with a convincing win with Udinese. Three points against Spal would also make 9 wins out of 10 games this year for Vincenzo Montella’s team. Fingers crossed.
